outreach at West 7th

on dec. 10th we went to west 7th to do an outreach. the first group was K-4 and the 2nd was 4-8th. the projects i did was icebreakers with both groups. the younger groups were really excited and active. it was kinda hard to get their attention at first, but after we got it the icebreakers went well. i think the kids liked the games we did. most of the kids got along with one another so that wasn't a problem.i didn't speak as loud as i thought i wanted to. the kids understood the instructions rig… Continue

Our outreach where we reached out!!

Wednesday on Dec. 10 we had a early release day. We went to the West 7th Community Center for an out reach for children grades K through 8th. My fellow water crew members and I were very excited to do this out reach. We had a problem though, we only prepared for around 26 students bu… Continue

Hectic Out-reach!

The out reach we had at the West 7th community Center went good but it was really hectic. The younger kids were hyper and all over the place. It was hard to hear and speak over all the loud noises that were going on because of the two ice-breakers games playing at the same time. Some of the kids did not like the earth ice-cream parfaits, so they just kind of bummed out of the activity and complained although they did not have to eat it. They kept asking for regular ice-cream, but they would of b… Continue

The Outreach

I think the outreach to west 7th went pretty good. The first group had so many kids i thought that we were not going to be able to do it. Also first group was very loud, if i could fix one thing it would be their volume. I think the kids really enjoyed the groundwater food and i hope they learned a lot about ground water. I wish we could of been a little more organized, but it was fun helping the kids. I think the second group was a little better than the first because they were older and easier… Continue

West 7th Outreach - 12/10/08

At our outreach to West 7th Community Center we taught children in age groups K-4 and 5-8. Our first activities were with the K-4. We had ice breakers and taught them about groundwater. They seemed to enjoy the ice breakers, which were planned by May and Grace; there was a lot of shrieking and laughing.

After the ice breakers, they went to 5 different tables and thats when we taught them about groundwater. Brenda and I led this activity. We first showed them a picture and told them the terms, t… Continue

CSi exhibit

I really liked the exhibit because it gets you thinking about what really happened during the crime scene. I also liked that it really gets you involved in what happened and its hands on and your not just sitting there looking your working too. I would like to do it again.

CSI

I think the CSI was a good experience personally. The cases seemed real, and the evidence showed mystery. I think the way this station was set up made people feel like real investigators. Who ever designed the CSI had a very good imagination.

CSI exhibit

the exhibit was fun it was like a real crime scene and you are the investigator. the stories were interesting. I think people will have fun on this exhibit and you'll learn something. it's coll to see they got the real people from the CSI series to talk about each part of an investigation.but overall it is a good experience.

CSI Exhibit

It was fun, i think everyone should try it. The only thing i didn't really like about it was it was to easy. They should make it harder. But it makes you respect people that have jobs like that. Everyone should take time with the family and go to this exhibit.
